It is difficult to see the forest through the trees at times.
I am a planner. I plan everything. I think that the one thing that having a kid has helped me with is knowing that planning is not in stone and sometimes you have to go with the flow. It is however hard to go with the flow when you are a planner at heart. I appreciated the overview of the program. I know that this is an intro class and that it is important that everyone has an opportunity to understand the layout and ultimate goals of the program. It also did encourage me to speak with the program to make sure that my needs as a student are being met. Since I already started this degree (about 10 years ago now, when I lived in VA) I have a lot of motivation to finish (I don't think that you can start a masters program twice and not finish both times.) Secondly I need to get this done while my son goes to sleep at 7. I don't want to feel like I am missing him grow up because I am so busy with school work.
