October 12, 2011

Well tonight we presented and it was well received over all.  I think that as a group we did a good job of communicating and showing our fellow classmates that it is possible to do projects virtually.  There are times that it is frustrating but overall it went well.  There are so many different types of tools that we could have used and at some points we probably could have used more.  I guess I was just feeling that more is not always better.  Just like the changes in technology, more things is not always the best thing.  It isn't about having more items to implement in the classroom it is about having quality items that are well received and used frequently to enhance the quality of the instruction.
I think that this class has a high standard of work and I really do appreciate that .  Everyone is very involoved in their products and eager to share which makes for a lot of learning.

  1. And you guys certainly did an outstanding job. As I indicated in class, i was very amazed to see that three people who are in spearate locations wer able to present a product so well via WIMBA. As you know , the professor also made the same statement. I was wondering at the beginning of your presentation how you three were going to be able to pull it off, but it is obvious that you guys knew what you were doing. Everything went smothly and informative. It is amazing what people can do with technology. It was good for me to larn about sentios and also to hear you guys talking about Reading Rainbow and Dr. Rogers. You also took me back to 1993 (oh my God...that was quite a long time...I shouldn't have said that) when I used to work at a company in which the gigantic flopply disks were used. Very good presentation! We all like it!

  2. I agree w/ Johana. Your presentation was superb, and we were able to see various forms of technology that we grew up with...I remember watching Sesame Street & Mr. Roger's Neighborhood...also the various forms of floppy disk storage used at first (now I can't find a machine that takes those disks). Now, we use USB drives w/ larger amounts of memory.

    Have a great week,

    Audra
